I agree with you Kristy. It’s not my first preference and I hope to change that in the future, but for now it’s what works best for us.

It really helps us follow them. However, I can’t start with tv. Tv has to be a reward, at the end, or they would get nothing done here! 🙂

I agree Dawnita. I think a huge thing homeschooling offers that is often stifled in public schools is a love for learning. Staying up all night trying to manage to cram in all your homework, tests, projects etc. is not my idea of learning to love learning. That was what I remember from my public education. I so envy my daughter’s blissful love of learning and the education she will continue to receive on this homeschooling journey.

Flexibility is SO important. I’m so grateful to have had mentors who impressed that upon me right from the start. I love being able to chase rabbit trails of learning with my children. It has proven with my two 20-something daughters that they definitely caught a love of learning from it. I’m even more relaxed with the younger ones. I love homeschooling!

I look forward to the changes although I’m in no rush for her to grow up 🙂 . I anticipate that it will get easier and easier as she progressively will be able to be do her work more independently. Can’t wait for that part 😉 .

I think homeschooling is always changing with the changes in our children. I love that you are looking at ways to make it work for your family.
